The International Cardiovascular and Metabolic Academy (ICMA) constitutes a panel of internationally renowned experts that review the latest key clinical trials and provide training and continuous medical education to both primary and secondary care physicians within the fields of hypertension, cardiovascular disease (CVD) and their associated risk factors.

The vision of the ICMA is to raise awareness and drive discussion of new findings, trends and opinions in hypertension and CVD prevention and management among physicians around the world, based on the latest key clinical trials.

This is being achieved through the formulation and publication of review and discussion papers, training and medical education.

Each member of the ICMA faculty is renowned in the field of cardiology and contributes a high level of expertise based on their experience in publications, clinical trials and global and national cardiology associations. To facilitate national and local level discussion and education, the ICMA relies on a strong and motivated collection of associated national academies. Each National Cardiovascular and Metabolic Academy (NCMA) comprises a national network of enthusiastic and select cardiologists who are considered leaders in their field and dedicated to the improving hypertension and CVD prevention and management. The NCMA is responsible for conducting national and local training and educational meetings for primary and secondary care physicians.
